All you need to do is choose a time and see how far you can get in that time. If you’re using your real bike, why not try equipment that measures distance – or even a speedometer to see how fast you can get. If you’re using an exercise bike, then you can simply see the distance you cover on the screen in front of you.
The benefit of an exercise bike in this instance is that you’re able to change the incline, which changes the effect of the workout on the leg muscles.
Then, on your next workout, you simply have to challenge yourself to beat your last record. It’s a simple way of getting fit, but you’ll be surprised how competitive you can get against yourself!
